Just put up my winners for a competition that the site battlefieldsingleplayer.com ran.

Battlefieldsingleplayer.com Competition Winners by DJBarney

It was quite tricky to sort out the Battlefield 2 lettering with the correct font and recreation of the effects used. I had some fun with various themes. The water one at the bottom uses a screen shot from the free mod Project Reality along with some water effects. Then there's the Christmas one in the middle, which is displayed on the site around that time of year. That uses a screen shot from the AIX2 mod and snow effects. My favourite one however is the top one which was inspired from the flame thrower in the award winning mod Forgotten Hope ... TOASTED !
  • Listening to: Sasha and Digweed
  • Reading: Chester Wilmott
  • Watching: Star Trek Voyager
  • Playing: Forgotten Hope
  • Eating: Hemp
  • Drinking: Brandy

Thanks. Yeah, I had to do a mandala design as a project in high school once, and after that I had to try it out some more. I think this was the last one I ever did. Glad ya like it. :)

I came across you as feature of the week when I was searching for something about fractint.

Your images are some of the most positive looking one's I've seen !

I notice you have multiple fractals displayed in a grid in one image. This works very well for some reason ! I have one image like this myself that I will have to put up.

I'm really only just discovering fractint, but use the later apps as well.

I wonder if we need a new word for the over used "fractal"? How about "Digital Mandala" ?

Hey...yeah it's good! I went and downloaded Apophysis after viewing it, and something came out the other end (work in progress). I've been using fractal programs for years and immediately seemed to "gel" with Apophysis :)
